Honeydew Sago Dessert
Honeydew Sago is a popular dessert usually served at Chinese restaurants here in Penang. It is a simple-to-make and refreshing dessert that is a perfect treat for the whole family. Try making this for Chinese New Year.
Ingredients
1kg honeydew melon (half purée, half flesh)
1/2 cup sago or tapioca pearls
200ml coconut milk from carton with 1 pinch of salt
Vanila ice cream (optional)
- Syrup
½ cup sugar
½ cup water
2 pandan leaves (rinse and knotted)
